MeasureMingle
MeasureMingle is an offline unit converter for length, weight, temperature, volume, area, speed, time, digital storage and kitchen measures, including cup-to-gram conversions based on ingredient densities. This page explains what the app does and does not do with your data.
MeasureMingle does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information. It makes no network requests at all — everything it stores stays on your device.
Information we collect
None. There is no account, no sign-in, no registration form, and no analytics. We never see anything you type into the app.
Data stored on your device
To make the app work, MeasureMingle stores the following only on your device, in a small local database (Hive) inside its own private storage:
- The display name and avatar glyph you choose on the Ledger screen.
- Your conversion history: the value entered, the units used, the result, and a timestamp.
- Your pinned unit pairs.
- Running totals used for statistics and progress markers: number of conversions, which unit families you have used, kitchen conversions, per-day counts for the seven-day chart, and your day streak.
- Your preferences: decimal places, thousands grouping, whether history is kept, the opening unit family, and the symbols-only toggle.
None of this leaves the device. Turning off "Keep history" in Settings stops new conversions from being written to the history list. Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage deletes all of it permanently.
Permissions
MeasureMingle requests no runtime permissions. It does not ask for camera, microphone, location, contacts, photos, or notification access. The Android manifest declares android.permission.INTERNET, which is the default for a Flutter application. The app contains no networking code and never uses it — there is no HTTP client, no socket, and no remote endpoint anywhere in the source.
Network use
MeasureMingle is fully offline. The unit catalogue (139 units across 9 families) and the 45 ingredient densities are compiled into the app, so nothing is ever downloaded or uploaded. The app works identically in airplane mode.
Third-party services
No analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or attribution SDKs are integrated. The app uses only open-source Flutter packages that run locally: Hive (on-device storage), provider (state management), fl_chart (drawing the statistics chart), intl (number formatting), confetti and flutter_animate (visual effects), gap and collection (layout and list helpers), and share_plus. The share_plus package is used only by the Share button on the Ledger screen. It hands a short line of text to your operating system's standard share sheet when you tap it; you then choose where it goes. Nothing is shared unless you tap that button and pick a destination.
Children's privacy
MeasureMingle collects no personal information from anyone, including children under 13 (COPPA) or under 16 (GDPR-K). Because there is no data collection, no transmission, and no advertising, the app is safe for all ages.
Your rights
All app data lives on your device and is under your control. You can delete individual history entries by swiping them away in the Registry, and remove pinned pairs at any time. Uninstalling MeasureMingle deletes its entire local database permanently. Since we never receive your data, there is nothing for us to access, export, or erase on your behalf.
Changes to this policy
